FRSC Dismisses 43 Officers Over Desertion and Misconduct

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has taken a decisive stand against indiscipline within its ranks, announcing the dismissal of 43 officers for desertion, scandalous behaviour, and patrol misconduct.

In a clear message reaffirming its zero-tolerance policy, the Corps emphasised that integrity, discipline, and commitment remain non-negotiable standards for all personnel. The affected officers were reportedly found guilty of abandoning official duties, engaging in unbecoming behaviour, and failing to uphold the professional standards expected during patrols.

The FRSC leadership stated that the dismissals are part of ongoing reforms aimed at strengthening accountability and public trust in the agency. “Our officers are the face of road safety in Nigeria. Any deviation from our core values will be met with strict consequences,” a spokesperson said.

This action underscores the Corps’ commitment to restoring discipline and reinforcing the ethical conduct expected of those tasked with safeguarding lives on Nigerian roads.
