Iran’s Chief of Army Staff, Major General Amir Hatami, has issued a stern warning to the United States and Israel against any military aggression, declaring that Iranian forces are on high alert amid heightened tensions in the region.
Hatami’s warning comes in response to what he described as heavy military deployments by the United States in the Persian Gulf, a development he said has prompted Iran to strengthen its defensive readiness. According to the army chief, Iran is closely monitoring movements in the region and remains fully prepared to respond to any threat to its sovereignty.
He emphasized that Iran does not seek conflict but would not hesitate to defend itself if attacked, adding that the country’s armed forces are operating at the highest level of preparedness. Hatami also cautioned that any miscalculation by external powers could have serious consequences for regional stability.
Tensions between Iran, the United States and Israel have remained elevated in recent months, fueled by disputes over security, military presence in the Middle East and broader geopolitical rivalries.
As of the time of this report, there has been no official response from Washington or Tel Aviv to Hatami’s latest remarks.
